Nine years ago, Vanessa who has always been passionate about food learned that she was gluten intolerant. Not wanting to compromise her love of food and drawing inspiration from her mother's classic recipes, her sister (owner of La Oliva, a gluten-free catering company in Edmonton), and from the diverse cuisine she encountered while travelling. She began researching and developing healthy, gluten-free alternatives to the food she and her family had always enjoyed. Fast-forward to today, Vanessa has over 50 adapted recipes, ranging from donuts to pizza crusts, that she is excited to sahre with you!
Focused on helping those with dietary restrictions not feel as though they have to compromise at meal time, Vanessa's recipes can be modified to meet most restrictions such as gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, egg-free and soy-free. Bkaing with unrefined sugars such as coconut sugar, maple syrop, and honey as well as using healthy fats such as coconut oil, butter, and olive oil, Vanessa is always working on new, great tasting and healthy recipes for you to try out!
